Only two years after it’s opening, EHL’s first "open to the public" gastronomic restaurant, Berceau des Sens (BDS), was awarded with three Forks in the 2002 Swiss Red Michelin Guide.

Replacing the school’s famous “restaurant d’application”, this outlet gives preparatory year students the opportunity to practice their gastronomic restaurant knowledge both in kitchen and service.

The name “Berceau des Sens” (French for Cradle of Senses), symbolizes the initiation to the world of culinary arts, with the aim to please all five senses.

The restaurant was completely renovated in 2011 thanks to the contribution of prestigious benefactors: Lombard Odier and Christofle sponsored the silverware, Bernardaud the tableware, Riedel the glasses and The Hess Family Estates group the private dining area.

In order to enhance the student’s learning experience, the restaurant is managed by a team of hospitality experts including renowned Chefs, some of them holders of the prestigious Meilleurs Ouvrier de France award.

In 2014, it was even awarded with 15/20 point by the Gault & Millau guide.
