EHLfamily: 1935, Discipline in the dormitories

EHL Alumni | 2 Mar, 2016

By 1935, as the students community living on EHL’s campus increased, strict rules were put in place.

For example, students were required to get up at a certain time. If they would not be up at that time, it was necessary to inform the management before 7.20am. Any form of disorderly behavior, dirtiness, untidiness, suspected illness or drunkenness had to be reported. It was also mandatory for students to take one bath per week.

It would be interesting to know what the rules will be for our new 2020 campus. Landlords responsible for making sure that our students shower on a daily basis will definitely not be part of it.
