EHLfamily: 1931, Support for graduates and stamm growth

EHL Alumni | 18 Feb, 2016

In the presence of 28 members, two subjects dear to our school were addressed at the 3rd Alumni General Assembly in May 1931, in Chexbres; help for graduates in their job search and the evolution of stamms worldwide.

Back then, the association had nearly 200 paying members and the multiplication of stamms was essential to strengthen the bonds of "all alumni around the world."

The following stamms were launched to achieve this goal: Arosa, Baden, Basel, Bern, Geneva, Interlaken, Lausanne, Locarno, Montreux, Pontresina, Sion, St-Gall & Zürich.

Abroad, in addition to the Paris stamm, the London and Chicago stamms were born.

Our Alumni Network has today nearly 70 stamms spread over five continents – Acting as ambassadors worldwide, the Stammvaters & Stammladies (Presidents) organize, with the support of their committee, nearly 400 events per year.

These events encourage intergenerational mingling and help our alumni to extend their professional and private networks.

It’s thanks to these - mostly informal – meetings, that our alumni gain access the "hidden job market" of our industry; a unique and exclusive opportunity to meet ones future boss or employee, in a familiar atmosphere.

One of the biggest Alumni gathering is the annual Gala. This year, it attracted about 600 guests from all parts of the world. Discover the video of that exceptional evening below.
