EHLfamily: 1983, Fête Finale

EHL Alumni | 16 Jun, 2016

Almost since Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne's creation, a Student Committee organizes a theme night with dinner, show and dancing at the end of each semester. This tradition is undoubtedly the biggest and most memorable event for our graduates.

In the early 80s, the official term "Fête Finale" appeared. This unforgettable evening allows third-year students to practice the skills they acquired during their first six semesters at EHL.

While EHL celebrated its 90th anniversary, the 1983 autumn theme revealed the future: "space crafts, astronauts and little green men mingled with simple individuals in a futuristic decor, including explosive attractions."

The tradition lives on today. If, over time, the event has developed into a professional venue, due to the increasing number of guests, the Fête Finale remains a memorable "last family night out” full of celebration and sharing for our graduating students.
